I bought a Tokyo Misfit headband with the Seigaiha pattern that represents strength & endurance. I could definitely feel it and two young Japanese women on the trail noticed it and complimented me on it.

This is the only pretty view of the lake at the park. The other views are murky and full of pond scum.
I got a couple blisters on my last 15 mile hike so I pre-taped my feet this time. All was well! I met a rambunctious young dog who ran up to me out of the woods and was very playful, while his owner kept zapping him on his neck collar with no response from the dog. The owner was very apologetic and concerned that nothing was affecting the dog, but I think the dog was very grateful for that. I also got within ten feet of a deer, and we just stared at each other for what felt like an eternity.
