Day 37

Day 37
Location: Copper Falls State Park
Distance: 17 miles
Weather: Finally Much Cooler
Mood: Ecstatic for cool weather

We woke to 47 degree temperatures and instead of being over 80 degrees by 11AM like the last several days, it was 51.  That is a 30 degree difference!!  We both felt like we had so much new found energy due to the cooler weather.  We saw several interesting views, some of which are pictured below.  Today was a resupply day in the small town of Mellon.  Mellon has the last grocery store that we know of along the trail, so we resupplied for the remaining 7 days of our journey as well as special treats for tonight like bratwurst, smoked fish, ice cream & beer.  My pack felt like it weighed 50 pounds for the short 3 mile hike from the store to our campsite.  But dinner was fantastic as we cooked the brats over a fire Anthony made while a full moon was in the sky.
