Mood: Happy this is projected to be the last hot day of our trip
Today was slightly cooler than yesterday's high 80s temperature but still way too warm and humid for good hiking weather. But with light packs and less miles, the mood was more positive for me. Plus, I learned yesterday to soak my hat in any river we passed and douse my head with cold water to keep cool. We made real good time today and got into camp by early afternoon. The army of mosquitoes following us may have been an incentive to move faster. The elevation was fairly flat as well with no mountain top scenic view points.
